Job summary

A prominent healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced Hematology Consultant to perform professional duties in line with hospital policies. The successful candidate will coordinate quality management programs, oversee blood bank services, and ensure accurate patient care. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's in Medicine, an MD in Histopathology or Clinical Pathology, and have at least 5 years of experience. Licensing by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties is required. This is a full-time position based in Tabuk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Medicine & Surgery. MD in Histopathology and / or Clinical Pathology or Equivalent with sub‑specialty in Hematological Pathology.
• 5 years of experience after obtaining the degree or equivalent.
• Licensed by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional duties of a consultant Hematopathologist according to hospital policies.
• Conduct consultation service to other physicians.
• Monitor service activities for quality control in the laboratory.
• Develop and coordinate Quality Management Program with Laboratory Department.
• Ensure correct results within assigned turn-around time.
• Stay updated with current developments in Hematopathology.
• Collaborate with other personnel for total patient care.
• Determine appropriate tests and assure availability of special equipment.
• Train service personnel and ensure job performance.
• Develop and approve policies for the service.
• Maintain cost standards for the division.
• Manage Hematopathology section, budget, and staff evaluation.
• Participate in hospital committees as assigned.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information.
• Oversee blood bank hematopathology and transfusion services.
