Job summary

A leading telecommunications firm is seeking a candidate in Riyadh with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Telecommunications, and at least 7+ years of telecom experience. The role involves engaging in presales activities, understanding the product portfolio, and developing business cases. Key skills include strong knowledge in Optical Networking and IP technologies, alongside excellent communication abilities. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the telecom domain in planning, implementation, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in presales activities, providing solutions to customers.
  • Partner with the sales organization to identify additional opportunities.
  • Understand and present the Ribbon product portfolio.
  • Provide inputs for product management to fine-tune offerings.
  • Develop business cases for the product in the region.

Skills

Understanding of Optical Networking technology (DWDM/OTN)
Understanding of IP Technology (MPLS, Routing protocols)
Experience with IP & Optical Network customers
Operational knowledge of Ribbon Optical product
Knowledge of optical network planner for planning of DWDM and OTN
Understanding of SIP and VoIP Technologies
Fluent communication skills in English
Knowledge of Arabic

Job Responsibilities
  • Presales activities (Key)
  • Answering RFx from the customer from the region of Saudi Arabia and extended.
  • Direct engagement with sales account for any opportunities in the region.
  • Solution design and solution presentation.
  • Product presentation to the customer.
  • Preparation of technical proposal
  • Addressing compliance statement.
  • Preparation of the BoM and the Draft commercial proposal.
Business Development (Key)
  • Be a partner to the sales organization and look for additional opportunities.
  • Understand the customer and pitch solutions from the entire Ribbon portfolio.
Product Related Activities
  • Understand the entire product portfolio of Ribbon.
  • Provide inputs to the product management regarding customer in order to fine tune the RM.
  • Develop business cases for the product with respect to the region.
Key Skills required
  • Understanding of the Optical Networking technology (DWDM / OTN)
  • Understanding of IP Technology. (MPLS, Routing protocols)
  • Experience with IP & Optical Network customers in the region.
  • Operational knowledge of the Ribbon Optical product would be an added benefit.
  • Knowledge of optical network planner for planning of DWDM and OTN.
  • Understanding of SIP and Voip Technologies (This will be an additional advantage)
  • Fluent communication skills in English. (Knowing Arabic would also benefit)
