Job Description

The Director of Mobility at AMAALA is responsible for assisting the Director of Mobility in creating and maintaining a world-class visitor experience. This role involves setting up a new operation and requires creativity, flexibility, and determination, focusing on the AMAALA project.

During the pre-opening phase, the Director will oversee the setup of the guest experience fleet and manage operators. During the operational phase, the focus will be on ensuring smooth operations, continuous improvement, and profitability. The role includes planning, identifying new opportunities, expense control, staff and supplier management, budgeting, guest interaction, and supervision. The individual must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to various business aspects.

Job Responsibilities
Pre-Opening
  • Participate in creating a multi-modal mobility system including land, sea, and air operations for guest fleets such as cars, boats, seaplanes/helicopters, e-buggies, and micro-mobility. Manage maintenance and operators.
  • Support HR in recruiting the team.
  • Develop and implement operational training and manuals for managers and operators.
  • Create SOPs, KPIs, SLAs, and step-by-step processes for efficient setup and operations.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance for visitors and staff.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure operational readiness.
  • Confirm operational readiness with senior management.
  • Lead strategic planning for guest mobility, including product definition and pricing strategies.
  • Design mobility policies and manage risks.
Additional Duties
  • Procurement of fleet and management systems.
  • Manage maintenance contracts, parts, and fleet customization.
  • Route planning and continuous review for efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Integrate systems for cost control and billing.
Operational
  • Manage multi-modal mobility operations with partners and stakeholders.
  • Develop performance metrics and review reports regularly.
  • Engage with industry experts and stay informed on market trends.
  • Implement and advocate for digital services to enhance customer experience.
  • Develop value propositions and support automation strategies.
  • Oversee operational duties and staff rosters.
  • Identify areas for operational improvement.
  • Monitor revenue, costs, and operator productivity.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in a related industry.
  • Minimum 10 years in mobility/transportation.
  • At least 5 years in management roles.
  • Proven experience in developing operational strategies and roadmaps.
  • Experience working with operating partners to meet KPIs and SLAs.
  • Experience in multimodal transportation management (car, air, sea, other modes).
  • Experience in hospitality, tourism, or related sectors is advantageous.
  • Middle East experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in ultra-luxury environments is preferred.
  • Experience working on both client and supplier sides.
  • Proven track record in leading mobility operations and achieving high standards and guest satisfaction.
