Job Details

Job Title: Corporate Development Associate

Department: Corporate Development

Reports To: Head of Strategy

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Hybrid)

Role Summary: The Corporate Development Associate plays a critical role in supporting HALA's strategic initiatives. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, this position focuses on high-impact analytical work, data assessment, market benchmarking, and providing support across strategy, M&A, and corporate related deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Benchmarking Analysis
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking against key industry players.
  • Develop insights from performance data to support strategic planning.
  • Maintain dashboards and trackers to monitor strategic KPIs.
  • Assist in sourcing, screening, and evaluating investment and acquisition opportunities.
  • Perform light financial modeling and develop business cases for internal approval.
2. Corporate Support & Reporting
  • Prepare\presentations, strategy updates, and other reports.
  • Summarize complex data and deal analysis into digestible insights.
  • Maintain internal records and documentation for corporate actions.
3. Data & Research Excellence
  • Perform structured and unstructured data analysis to inform decisions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge databases on markets, competitors, and potential targets.
  • Translate trends and analytics into actionable business recommendations.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Partner with teams across finance, operations, product, legal, and strategy.
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives requiring corporate development insight.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field
  • 2-4 years' experience in an analytical role in a high growth environment such as technology startup/scaleup, strategy consulting, banking.
  • Analytical skills and business case development.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic knowledge is preferred
