Job description

A well-established education group in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide strategic technology leadership across both higher education and K-12 environments in Riyadh.

Reporting to senior leadership and the Board, the CTO will be responsible for defining and executing enterprise-wide IT strategy, leading digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring secure, scalable, and future-ready technology platforms that support teaching, learning, and operations, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a comprehensive IT and digital transformation strategy
• Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of SIS, LMS, CRM, and ERP systems
• Define enterprise architecture and drive a cloud-first approach
• Oversee cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory compliance
• Ensure reliable IT operations, service management, and business continuity
• Build, lead, and develop high-performing technology teams
• Partner with academic leaders, administrators, and external stakeholders

Candidate Profile

• Must be a Saudi National
• 15+ years of IT experience, including senior leadership roles (CTO, CIO, IT Director)
• Strong background within the education sector
• Proven expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and data governance
• Track record of delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East preferred
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills highly advantageous
