Overview
An engineering consultancy company in Riyadh is looking for an accountant/account manager who is knowledgeable and familiar with personnel and related government platforms, to carry out the following tasks:
Responsibilities – Daily and Operational Tasks
- Record daily entries and review banking and fund operations.
- Manage and settle cash and petty cash expenses regularly.
- Issuing electronic invoices and sending them to customers in accordance with ZATCA systems.
- Follow up collection, manage receivables and schedule outstanding payments.
- Processing employees' financial requests (advances, covenants, operating expenses).
- Raising salary marches and following up on their disbursement through Madad platforms and banks.
- Follow up on visas and residency renewal procedures through "Absher Aam" and "Muqeem".
- Deal with any urgent obligations on government platforms (powers, mads, insurances).
Responsibilities – Weekly and Monthly Tasks
- Prepare periodic financial reports (cash flow, profit and loss, trial balance).
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and settlement of balances.
- Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, deduction).
- Following up and renewing subscriptions, professional certificates, and the Chamber of Commerce.
- Uploading and following up on financial extracts, whether with government agencies (Etimad platform) or with the private sector to ensure the speed of disbursement and collection.
Responsibilities – Quarterly and Annual Tasks
- Prepare the final financial statements (income statement, financial position, cash flows).
- Prepare annual Zakat/income tax returns and follow up on tax examination.
- Periodically reviewing legal obligations and official licenses.
- Providing comprehensive reports to senior management on the financial situation and overall performance.
- Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures in a way that enhances governance and transparency.
Skills and Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Accounting or a related discipline.
- Professional certificates/accreditation (such as SOCPA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Mastery of accounting and Excel programs, and practical experience in the following platforms: Qawa, Madad, Insurance, Muqeem, Absher Business, Etimad, ZATCA (Invoice), Chamber of Commerce.
