Purchasing Executive
Job summary
A manufacturing company located in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Junior Executive for Purchasing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best pricing while maintaining quality. Candidates must possess a Diploma/Degree, with 1-2 years of experience in the related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good command of Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia is essential. This role involves managing the purchasing process, shipping schedules, and material planning.
Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of working experience in purchasing or related field.
- Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management.
- Knowledge of ISO requirements and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Research, compare & evaluate potential suppliers.
- Source, select & negotiate supplier pricing while ensuring quality.
- Update shipping schedules and liaise with transport agents.
- Generate Purchase Orders and maintain purchasing records.
- Responsible for material planning and inventory control.
Skills
Education
Research, compare & evaluate potential supplier.
Responsible for sourcing, selecting & negotiating with supplier for the best pricing while maintain the highest level of quality, reliability and services.
Updating shipping schedule, liaise with transporter/forwarding agent on shipping schedule.
Full spectrum of purchasing process by generating of Purchase Order.
Negotiate with supplier and meet operation schedule and lead time.
Maintain and update purchasing record, supplier database and related documentation.
Responsible for material planning and inventory control.
Any other duties as deemed fit by the management.
Ensure ISO requirement and documentation are properly maintained.
Candidates must possess at least a Diploma/Degree or equivalent.
At least 1-2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field.
Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel & Word.
Good command of spoken in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Knowledge or ability to converse in Mandarin is an added advantage.
