A leading food production company in Pasir Gudang is seeking a dedicated individual for product development and improvement. The role includes managing R&D projects, enhancing product quality, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Science, technical knowledge in oils and fats, and strong problem-solving skills. This position offers a chance to innovate within a dynamic team driven by quality and safety standards.
The jobholder is to conduct product development and improvement projects and monitor the progress of each project to ensure department goals and project timelines are met and achieve the organization's set goal.
Design and plan a new product development project that aligns with market trends and meets the needs of the Company's target market.
Actively searches for suitable ingredients, technologies and processing methods to enhance product quality and innovation.
Review the existing product formulations and identify areas for improvement and changes to enhance product performance, stability and shelf life.
Work closely with QA/QC and production teams in identifying opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste and optimize resource utilization.
Manage R&D project timeline and resources effectively and provide regular progress updates.
Stay updated on relevant food regulations, food safety regulations and industry standards ensuring that all new products developed and product improvements adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
Effective communication regarding the project status.
Respond to customer inquiries on new products, product matching and quality-related matters.
Provide technical support to internal teams including sales and marketing.
Troubleshooting and resolving the day to day technical issues and quality related challenges.
Safeguarding Occupational Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards of the workforce.
Food Safety Reporting: Report workplace food safety concerns or issues in the workplace to Superior's.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with regulations and industry standards.
To perform other duties as assigned by Superior from time to time.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Science or equivalent.
Technical knowledge in oils & fats and related products.
Dynamic, self-motivated, initiative and capable of communicating effectively.
Regulatory compliance understanding.
Problem solving and analytical abilities.
Innovative thinking and creative.
Ability to analyze data and analytical work.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and MS Words).
Preferably at least 1 year of working experience in an environment where knowledge of Chemistry and Food Processing applied.
Applicants must be willing to work in Pasir Gudang
