Job Description

We're looking for extraordinary people to help lead product development as Empower México continues to scale. Our product leaders are customer‑centric, collaborate intensely with other key disciplines, and make decisions with an eye towards Empower México's business.

Members of the product team drive the strategy, tactics, and delivery timelines for all Empower features and products. They identify opportunities and develop perspectives on the most impactful things we should be building for our customers.

More specifically, this role will lead the development and growth of Empower México's new credit card product. This is a rare opportunity to own a product from the ground up and shape the future of Empower in Mexico.

We are a remote‑first company and drive connectivity through regular company off‑sites. Travel for company off‑sites is expected at a minimum 3 times a year.

Responsibilities

Define the strategy and roadmap for Empower México's credit card, from initial launch to nationwide scale.

Identify and prioritize opportunities that meet customer needs while driving business outcomes and unit economics.

Leverage data and research to uncover insights, shape product direction, and inform tradeoffs.

Design, test, and iterate on features and credit policies through rapid experimentation.

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, credit, risk, and operations to ensure high‑quality delivery.

Set clear goals and OKRs that align the México team behind product success.

Communicate progress and learnings to Empower México leadership and key stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of proven product management experience, ideally in fintech, consumer credit, or financial services.

Bachelor's degree (or greater) in an analytical or technical discipline.

Ability to thrive in a startup‑like environment — proactive, resourceful, and execution‑driven.

Strong analytical abilities and are comfortable defining and measuring goals consistently.

An interest in addressing complicated and impactful product & business problems.

Experience delivering complex, cross‑functional product initiatives.

Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and logical structuring abilities.

Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to independently lay out and test clear hypotheses, and solve problems without well‑defined direction.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong Plus

Experience in México or a LATAM financial market.

Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal).
