About the team

The Engineering & Operations data, analytics and metrics team is leading an effort to develop engineering and operational metrics across Zillow Group to help engineers identify areas of improvement in the development experience as well as measure outcomes of investment. We are implementing and expanding upon metrics like DORA. We work with teams and products across Zillow Group and have the opportunity to make a significant impact across all business lines. We serve all of Zillow’s internal technology teams, along all lines of businesses, as well as functional areas. This position has an impact across 100% of ZG properties and technology future. We’re looking to build the golden standard of developer portals that integrates with many different internal platforms and developers tools to empower development teams to truly manage and build great software.

• Deliver impact and results by defining success metrics, analyzing data for insights, prioritizing what to build, and coordinating with partner teams to align efforts to business strategies
• Communicate and collaborate by articulating the why and what customer problem to solve, working with others, and balancing their point of view with solicited input of others
• Inform strategy by monitoring competitors, understanding customer needs and technical designs of products to serve them
• Mobilize teams to do their best work by providing clear direction, handling dependencies, removing roadblocks and applying effective operating rhythms
• Actively participate in engineering discussions with Software Development Engineers, Designers and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. Remote employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

• 5+ years of end-to-end product management experience, with a focus on building technology products
• Experience developing a vision, product strategy and roadmap for SAAS or internal tooling software
• Collaborates cross-functionally across multiple teams (Engineering, UX/Design, Analytics etc.), estimating level of effort, identifying dependencies, and resource needs
• Balances strategic priorities, business goals, user needs, technical feasibility, and time to market to define impactful product solutions
• Strong written and oral communication and team management skills, the ability to simplify complex topics, and comfort presenting at all levels of the organization
• Programming experience in Javascript or Python
• Leverages expertise and shares best practices to grow and develop PMs within their team
