About Mattilda
Mattilda is building the finance-first All-In-One Operating System for Education in Latin America—unifying payments, billing, collections, SIS, academic workflows, communication, and financial operations into a single platform.
We serve 1,000+ schools across Mexico, Colombia, and Ecuador, supporting hundreds of thousands of families and delivering a modern, reliable experience for parents, students, teachers, and administrators.
Mattilda is a well-funded startup with $89M in total capital raised, fueling new market expansion and accelerating platform modernization through strategic acquisitions, including Algebraix SIS.
Our mission is to help schools operate with clarity, accuracy, and confidence—powered by technology and AI-driven automation. Reliability, discipline, and execution are essential to our transformation into a truly AI-first company.
Role Overview
Mattilda is seeking a Senior Delivery Lead (Product Delivery Manager) to drive cross-functional execution, alignment, and delivery excellence across our most critical product areas—including Payments, Reconciliation, Platform, SIS, and Integrations.
Unlike traditional Scrum Masters, this role is strategic, deeply cross-functional, and focused on outcomes, not ceremonies. You will own delivery health, remove organizational friction, strengthen execution discipline, and enable squads to deliver predictable, high-quality results.
You will collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, QA, AI/ML teams, Data, and Operations to:
- Stabilize and accelerate delivery
- Improve reliability in high-severity financial systems
- Build predictable execution rhythms
- Enable AI-powered delivery insights
- Support Mattilda's transition to a modern, event-driven, AI-enabled operating model
This is a foundational role for someone who thrives in complexity, brings clarity to ambiguity, and elevates organizational performance through structure, insight, and leadership.
What Youll Lead
1. Delivery Excellence & Execution Discipline
- Drive sprint/iteration planning, cross-squad alignment, and release readiness
- Ensure high-quality requirements, acceptance criteria, and definitions of ready/done
- Improve team commitments, throughput, and reliability
- Reduce firefighting and restore space for long-term initiatives (architecture, QA, AI)
2. Cross-Functional Coordination & Alignment
- Serve as the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, QA, Data, AI, Ops, and Integrations
- Track and manage dependencies across squads, systems, and markets
- Facilitate alignment between country-specific priorities (MX, CO, EC)
- Coordinate major initiatives such as:
- - Invoicing automation
- - AI-enabled reliability systems
3. AI-Enabled Delivery & Predictive Operations
- Integrate AI-driven insights into planning, retrospectives, and workflow optimization
- Work with AI teams to develop:
- - Predictive models for delivery risk and scope creep
- - AI agents that automate backlog grooming and dependency mapping
- - Anomaly detection for blockers, delays, and process inefficiencies
- Use data + AI to improve delivery decision-making, velocity, and quality
4. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Introduce standardized processes for planning, execution, and retrospectives
- Improve backlog hygiene, requirement quality, and release discipline
- Streamline cross-border release processes
- Reduce delivery friction caused by unclear ownership, manual workflows, or procedural gaps
- Build repeatable playbooks and frameworks that scale as the company grows
5. Team Health, Culture & Coaching
- Cultivate a psychologically safe, collaborative, and high-trust environment
- Coach Product Managers, Engineers, and Leads on delivery best practices
- Help teams self-organize, reduce dependency bottlenecks, and surface issues early
- Support Mattilda's shift from reactive execution to proactive, data-driven delivery

- Increased automation, testing readiness, and release quality
- Strong alignment between Product, Engineering, Data/AI, and Operations
