About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend & Cloud Engineer to maintain and scale a robust backend infrastructure built on modern Java and AWS. In this role, you/hour will be responsible for building and maintaining APIs, ensuring database integrity, and managing cloud infrastructure in production environments.

You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable backend systems. In addition to your primary Java/AWS stack, this role offers the opportunity to cross‑train in an internal NET/Azure ecosystem, supporting internal services during maintenance periods. This position is ideal for a senior engineer who values ownership, system reliability, and cloud‑first architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Build and maintain RESTful services using Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.3.0
• Database Management: Manage database schema changes and migrations using Flyway
• Cloud Infrastructure: Manage hosting and resources in AWS, including EC2 sprawling and AWS Secrets Manager
• Identity Management: Maintain authentication flows using Auth0 and Microsoft Entra ID

ötä‑Functional Responsibilities

• Willingness to learn and contribute to .NET Core (C#) and Azure environments
• Support internal services during maintenance periods as needed

Must Have

• Expert: Java 21+, Spring Boot 3+, and SQL
• Proficient in the AWS ecosystem (compute, networking, security) and Flyway
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
