Job Description Summary Tactical planner drives and manages the Master Production Schedule for the tactical horizon (typically 4-24 months), ensuring capacity and resources are in place to support the agreed demand plan. The role is responsible for ensuring the availability, in terms of date and quantity, of shipping items to the next point of supply and for keeping inventory at the agreed target level. It also oversees the timely implementation of Life Cycle projects (launches, changes, transfers, divestments) through coordination of stakeholders from different functions, and ensures compliance with regulatory, GMP, SOP, HSE and Code of Conduct requirements.
Responsibilities
- Front-End, Network, Product Management: Ensure customers have clear visibility of the current valid supply plan, monitor delivery commitments against SLAs, manage backlog and backorders between the Site and next supply points, and maintain direct communication with customers and stakeholders.
- Project, Process: Manage business process implementations in ERP systems, train and support users, identify areas of improvement, develop and promote solutions, maintain integration and reconciliation activities between Global NTO Supply Chain and Finance, and steer a portfolio of SC projects at platform level.
- Logistics, Warehouse and Distribution: Ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations, support issuance and management of standards and policies, conduct risk reviews, guide closure of gaps from internal and external controls, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Planning: Establish optimal master production schedule for the tactical horizon, align MPS with approved production plans, coordinate resource-remediation action plans, manage supply KPI reporting and analysis, and lead supply review meetings to support the entire S&OP process.
- LCM: Lead implementation of LC projects, ensure compliant drug supplies, manage change-over plans, and maintain up-to-date assortment at SKU level.
- Order Management – Operational Lead: Lead a large group of Order Managers, promote high standards, and provide development opportunities.
- Order Management – Senior: Provide enhanced support, ensure smooth transactional execution between inter-company, intragroup and third-party customers, and act as counterpart to guarantee high customer service levels.
- ERP Business Process Manager: Oversee ERP system changes and enhancements, train users, identify improvements, and leverage SAP for service, cost efficiency, quality and compliance.
- Tactical Planner: Optimize production planning, allocate resources, align MPS with production plans, drive supply performance targets, and act as SAP and RapidResponse super user.
- Reporting of technical complaints, adverse events and special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt.
- Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable).
