A recruitment agency is seeking a Remote Business Development Assistant to facilitate the daily operations of a civil construction services firm. You'll support communication processes, ensure client engagements stay on track, and manage project context effectively. Applicants should have at least one year of relevant experience and a high school diploma. Strong communication, organizational skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office are essential. This is a full-time remote position with a competitive salary range.

Formación

Salary: $1,000 - $2,000 USD/month depending on experience, paid via Thera or direct deposit

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm Eastern Time

Overview

Originating during the Great Recession, the company initially focused on erosion control services and has since expanded to include site services, green infrastructure, utility installation, hydro excavation, stormwater facility maintenance, and turnkey site development.

We’re looking for a Business Development Administrative Assistant to support the backbone of the firm’s day-to-day execution. You’ll help ensure processes run smoothly, client engagements stay on track, and the internal team has the resources needed to deliver excellent results.

Responsibilities
  • Review public-sector information, including meeting materials and procurement postings, to identify potential construction, infrastructure, or advisory opportunities
  • Flag and summarize potential opportunities and route them to the appropriate internal team for review
  • Maintain accurate notes and basic project context so others can quickly understand why an opportunity may be relevant
  • Maintain clean and accurate contact and account information in Salesforce for local governments and higher education institutions
  • Add, update, and organize contact details such as job titles, departments, emails, phone numbers, and notes related to procurement or project involvement
  • Help organize contacts into appropriate lists, market segments, and internal territories to support business development efforts
  • Research and identify key contacts within public agencies and institutions, including procurement staff, public works personnel, and facilities teams
  • Build and maintain contact lists to support outreach and lead-generation initiatives
  • Review active public solicitations such as RFPs, RFQs, and IFBs and identify those that may align with company services
  • Provide brief summaries of relevant solicitations and share them with internal stakeholders for further evaluation
  • Follow established processes and documentation standards to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Take on additional responsibilities as skills develop and core daily tasks are mastered
Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with limited supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Interest in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors and willingness to learn industry terminology and trends
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in business development, marketing, research, or an administrative role
  • Construction, engineering, public sector, or infrastructure-related experience preferred but not required
Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Skills & Knowledge (Not Required)
  • Familiarity with CRM or lead-tracking systems
  • Experience reviewing public meeting agendas, minutes, or procurement documents
  • Strong research instincts and curiosity
  • Comfort working with evolving processes in a beta-program environment
Hardware Requirements
  • Operating System: Windows-based device only (No Mac/Apple computers)
  • Memory: Minimum of 16GB RAM
  • Hardware: Dual-monitor setup (2 screens) is required for efficient workflow
  • Connectivity: Stable, high-speed internet with a dedicated, quiet workspace. Candidates must be able to guarantee connectivity regardless of travel
