Role Description and Purpose

The Oracle Retail Consulting group is looking for dynamic professionals to join our Commerce Consulting practice. Oracle is a market leader in eCommerce, Omni Channel, and Cloud, and our consulting team is at the forefront of implementing industry‑leading solutions for our clients. This is a fast‑paced and rapidly evolving environment with tremendous opportunities for professional growth and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test new platform features and enhancements
• Acquire knowledge of existing code and refactor code as needed to meet the needs of the evolving platform
• Collaborate and work with other members of the team to deliver high‑quality product code on time
• Estimate level of effort to code and test moderately tricky to complex requirements
• Create key project deliverables, including technical specifications, unit tests, and tested code
• Submit status updates on all project activities to the Team Lead/Project Manager

Experience / Qualifications

• Highly experienced in developing software in Java and modern microservices library frameworks
• Knowledgeable in best practices and design patterns in Java
• Experienced in developing software in JavaScript (Node.js) and modern JS library frameworks for frontend and backend
• Excellent programming, unit testing, debugging, and code organization skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrate analytic and problem‑solving skills
• Quick learner and have a great attitude as a team player
• Travel is required up to 30%

Technical Skills Required

• Clean coding skills
• Demonstrated expertise in development using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, Java EE
• Familiarity with source control processes & tools (e.g. Git, Github, BitBucket)
• Experience with IDEs (e.g. VisualStudio Code, WebStorm, Eclipse)
• Experience in agile development practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.) and Tools (JIRA)
• Experience with any of the following JavaScript frameworks and responsive design: AngularJS, ReactJS, Vue or Knockout
• Experience with Cloud (IaaS, SaaS and Cloud‑Native) concepts, architecture, and delivery model
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Experience in Oracle Commerce (ATG) and Order Endeca Guided Search Solutions
• Experience in Oracle Order Management (OROMS) and Order Broker (OROB) Solutions

Useful Experience

Self‑starter, with the ability to work independently and without the need for individual task‑management and supervision. Ability to organize personal work time around client availability, travel requirements, and other constraints to meet the assigned deliverables within agreed time/cost constraints and client expectations.

Additional Information

An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May act as the team lead on projects. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and configures detailed solutions for moderately complex projects. 5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
