Una empresa de soluciones de empaque busca un Ingeniero de Empaque en México. El candidato será responsable del desarrollo de soluciones de empaque, coordinación con equipos multifuncionales y soporte de logística, requerido dominio del inglés y experiencia en diseño de empaques. Se ofrece un ambiente colaborativo y oportunidades de crecimiento profesional.

Formación

• 2-4 años de experiencia profesional en diseño de empaques.
• Conocimiento básico de protocolos y regulaciones de empaques.
• Conocimiento básico en CAPE Pack y gestión de datos de productos es un plus.

Responsabilidades

• Desarrollar proyectos de empaques a través de diseño, pruebas, documentación y evaluación de productos.
• Coordinar la correcta implementación del diseño de empaques en áreas de manufactura.
• Proveer soporte de ingeniería y logística para el empaque de productos desde el concepto hasta la producción.

Packaging Engineering

Responsibilities

The Packaging Engineer position provides technical, administrative and creative support for the coordination, planning and implementation of packaging solutions for new products and improvement/modification to existing products for Mexican plants. Develop cost reduction projects and continuous improvement for direct and indirect materials.

• Develop package projects through design, testing, documentation and evaluation of products in order to meet department goals.
• Coordinate correct package design implementation at manufacturing areas in collaboration with multifunctional teams.
• Provide engineering and logistic support for product packaging from concept through production and distribution.
• Collaborate with engineering and procurement for the proper development of new part numbers required for the launch of new products.
• Follow up the execution of ECN’s generated for existing products in order to ensure its correct and timely implementation.
• Generate package specifications and procedures when this is required by the activities of the plant.
• Review new developments generated by suppliers to verify that these meet precisely the established requirements. If required, approve or reject mentioned developments either graphic or structural.
• Analyze cost reduction opportunities and improvement projects that are feasible to being implemented in all Mexican plants.

Requisitos

Education – Bachelor degree, Industrial Design. Related degrees such as industrial or mechanical engineering can be considered when experience is met.
Experience – 2-4 years of professional experience in packaging design, focused on heavy and fragile products.
Knowledge – Proficient user of Artios CAD and Adobe Illustrator. Basic user of Microsoft Office and Google docs.
Knowledge of packaging protocols and regulations, ISTA, ASTM, TAPPI. Basic knowledge of CAPE Pack and Product Data Management is a plus.
Skills/Abilities – Fluent English (written and oral) with technical and business vocabulary. Strong teamwork, solid communication, proactive, great attention to details and precision, strong observation and analytical skills. Proven problem-solving skills. Willing to travel as required.
