What will you make today?
As a Manufacturing Engineer Manager at Ford, you will play a pivotal role in leading and optimizing our manufacturing processes within the Body Shop at CSAP (Cuautitlan Stamping and Assembly Plant).
You will be responsible for a team of dedicated manufacturing engineers, driving continuous improvement, ensuring operational excellence, and contributing to the strategic direction of our production capabilities.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a critical function, implement lean principles, and foster a culture of innovation and quality.
At least 7 Years of Experience in the following aspects
- Assembly: Knowledge of assembly processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Ergonomics: Ability to design and evaluate workstations and processes to minimize physical strain and maximize efficiency.
- Incident Investigation: Skill in systematically analyzing workplace incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Labor Planning and Optimization: Expertise in forecasting, scheduling, and optimizing labor resources for production needs.
- Labor Resource Management: Capability to effectively manage and deploy human resources within a manufacturing environment.
- Managing Operating Costs: Ability to identify, control, and reduce operational expenses while maintaining quality and output.
- Manufacturing Feasibility: Skill in assessing the practicality and viability of manufacturing new products or processes.
- Manufacturing Strategy: Capability to develop and implement long-term plans for manufacturing operations aligned with business goals.
- Problem Solving and Process Improvement: Strong analytical skills to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions for process enhancement.
- Process Confirmation and Auditing: Ability to verify that processes are being followed correctly and to conduct audits for compliance and effectiveness.
- Product and Process Quality: Understanding of quality standards and methodologies to ensure high-quality products and robust processes.
- Risk Management: Skill in identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks in manufacturing operations.
- Safety and Environmental Compliance: Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards in a manufacturing setting.
- Technology Development: Ability to identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve manufacturing capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Desired minimum of 2 years of expertise in a leadership role.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Industrial Engineering principles.
- Proven track record of leading and developing engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with automotive manufacturing processes, particularly in body shop operations.

What you’ll do
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Body Shop Manufacturing Engineering team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimize production flow.
- Manage manufacturing projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product launches and operational efficiency.
- Conduct WSCIM Reviews and Layered Process Reviews to ensure process adherence and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee basic administrative tasks for the team.
- Participate in and lead various meetings, including Learning Meetings (Scorecard), People Engagement Meetings, and Cost Review Meetings.
- Manage ZCC/DCC processes and facilitate PDC Local / PDC 5 discussions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
