This role demands prioritization under pressure, ensuring a defect-free flow of materials, with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, requiring presence on-site in Nuevo León.

Job Summary

The Facility Procurement Quality team is responsible for managing supplier quality activities at the manufacturing plant, ensuring that materials and services meet corporate standards. Its main function is to guarantee a defect‑free flow from the supplier to the plant, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with other areas to resolve critical issues. The team monitors and responds to daily quality problems, directly impacting operational efficiency and the organization’s reputation. Additionally, it manages purchasing data and supports information consolidation for buyer teams across multiple facilities. This role requires working with a sense of urgency, setting priorities, and maintaining quality under pressure.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Manage quality assurance processes for supply, continuously improving services and input quality.
  • Ensure defect‑free flow of materials and services from supplier to plant.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives with suppliers and work with them to raise quality standards.
  • Lead a team responsible for addressing daily quality issues in the plant.
  • Manage and consolidate purchasing data for buyer teams at various facilities.
  • Collaborate with planning, logistics, and commercial compliance to resolve escalations and ensure smooth operations.
  • Prioritize activities and make quick decisions in critical situations.
  • Maintain performance and quality under pressure in dynamic environments.
Educational Requirements
  • University degree in administration, industrial engineering, international business, or related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced English, due to interaction with international suppliers and English reporting.

Quality Management:

  • Uses relevant quality indicators; applies continuous improvement processes and tools; evaluates impact of actions on quality and promotes compliance with standards.

Problem Solving:

  • Leads efforts to resolve critical issues; analyzes and synthesizes information; develops alternative strategies; documents lessons learned.
  • Prioritizes tasks and quick decisions; maintains quality and performance in high‑demand environments.

Supplier Management – MFG:

  • Manages supplier relationships and transactions; resolves routine issues; participates in selecting alternative suppliers; ensures compliance with quality specifications and delivery times.

Effective Communications:

  • Prepares and presents clear reports; provides constructive feedback; adapts technical language to the audience; considers non‑verbal cues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001).
  • Previous working knowledge leading quality teams in manufacturing.
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing standards and regulations.
Additional Information
  • The location for this position is available in Santa Catarina and Cienega de Flores. Required to work 5 days on‑site.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm.
  • This position will require 30% travel, domestic and international.
  • Relocation is not available.
