Overview

Property Maintenance Team Lead at Evernest. Build Systems. Drive Results. Lead the Future of Maintenance Operations. At Evernest, we don’t just manage homes—we’re redefining property management. With over 24,000 properties under management across 50+ markets, we’re on a bold path to manage 250,000 homes by 2030. That means thinking bigger, building smarter, and operating at scale.

We’re looking for a Property Maintenance Team Lead to own performance, drive innovation, and build high-performing systems for our Property Services Team. You’ll lead a group of field technicians and oversee in-house maintenance, renovation execution, and vendor coordination in one of our fastest-growing regions.

This is not a “keep the lights on” job—it’s a strategic leadership role where your ability to think in systems, solve problems at the root, and lead with accountability will directly shape our success.

Position Overview
What You’ll Do
  • Build and Lead a Top-Tier Property Services Team
  • Lead and develop a team of field techs, vendor partners, and coordinators across multiple markets.
  • Run weekly L10s to ensure alignment, accountability, and issue-solving.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, giving clear coaching, feedback, and direction.
Drive Operational Excellence
  • Own and improve key performance indicators (KPIs):
  • 95% Tech Realization (38+ billed hours/week)
  • Avg. WO lifespan ≤ 10 days
  • 7.6+ billed hours per tech/day
  • Renovation margin
  • Identify inefficiencies, implement SOPs, and continuously optimize how your region operates.
Be the Connector
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Renovations, Resident Services, and Owner Communication teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Solve communication breakdowns and build durable systems that scale.
Lead with Initiative
  • You don’t wait to be told what’s broken—you find it, fix it, and improve the system.
  • You don’t get stuck in “how it’s always been done”—you create a better way forward.
Competencies & Requirements
What You Bring
  • Proven leadership experience managing field teams or technicians in maintenance, construction, or property services
  • Strong understanding of maintenance workflows, vendor management, and margin control
  • High systems IQ—able to think in process, spot inefficiencies, and create scalable solutions
  • Strong sense of urgency and ownership
  • Data-driven approach—you measure what matters and move fast based on insights
  • A collaborative leadership style that inspires others to perform at a high level
  • Familiarity with tools like EN Tech, EN Billing, and scorecard/KPI systems (preferred)
Why This Role is Different
