A leading multinational engineering company in Apodaca is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to collaborate with design teams and vendors, ensuring efficient production methods. Formación

What you will do:

  • Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Create Investment Project Proposals (IPP) for the purchase of new equipment and facility improvements, including calculating costs and justifying purchases by assessing savings and efficiency.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Resolves deviation reports concerning product or material issues with plant personnel, including maintenance personnel, to direct equipment adjustments.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
  • Distributes product/part drawings to appropriate plant personnel.
  • Review maintenance activities to coordinate the preventive maintenance and implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What we look for:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field from a four-year college or university.
  • Two (2) + years of Manufacturing Industry Experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of sheet metal manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, designing fixtures and layout improvements.
  • Required knowledge of MS Office products: Office, Excel.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and a proven track record with application.
  • Experience with MS PowerPoint and MS Access is a plus.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
