A multinational specialty chemicals company is seeking a Finance Manager to lead local Finance activities in compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in finance management within a multinational context and possess strong accounting knowledge. Overview

Location: Mexico City, Mexico

Purpose: Leads and optimizes local Finance activities based on corporate guidelines and standards, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Reports financial risks and opportunities to corporate stakeholders, advises and supports local BUs/SUs.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures the country's compliance with group Finance principles, statutory and tax requirements.
  • Identifies business risks and proposes adequate action plans to mitigate / manage.
  • Manages operative and strategic projects (e.g., restructuring, separation, TSA).
  • Maintains strong financial health to allow participation in bidding processes.
  • Ensures efficient F&A organization structure and internal control achievements.
  • Participates in local MC Board of Directors and, if applicable, local legal representative.
  • Motivates and develops employees in accordance with company management principles.
  • Leads proactive review of processes and drives efficiency improvements and standardization.
  • Sponsors plans to accelerate digitalization in Finance.
  • Meets country financial targets and budget.
  • Supports treasury in-house banking transformation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor and Master’s degree in Accounting, Administration, Finance or Economic Science.
  • 8–10 years of experience as Manager of Finances in a multinational company.
  • Strong knowledge in Accounting and Finance according to IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Relevant experience in Finance/Accounting/Controlling/Audit departments of a multinational company.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Senior management experience influencing other areas and business.
  • Experience in multicultural environment and team development.
  • Digitalization capabilities.
  • Desirable experience working with GBS operations centralization.
  • Positive attitude, good communication and collaboration abilities, teamwork spirit and ethic.
