A leading renewable energy company is seeking a professional in Xico, Veracruz, to lead market expansion for industrial energy storage in Latin America. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in business development within the renewable energy sector, a deep understanding of local regulations, and strong negotiation skills. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential, and proficiency in Portuguese is a strong advantage. This role is pivotal in establishing partnerships and driving growth in targeted markets.

What to Expect

Global Business Development is a small but mighty team that works to analyze markets, shape emerging business models, and advise and execute industrial energy strategy.

What You’ll Do
  • Market Expansion Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive market expansion strategy for industrial energy storage solutions across Latin America.
  • Identify key markets, including Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, the Caribbean, and others, and prioritize entry based on market potential and regulatory environment.
  • Policy Advocacy and Government Relations: Engage with local governments, policymakers, and regulators to shape policies and regulations to drive greater growth of renewables and unlock energy storage deployment.
  • Market Intelligence and Offer Optimization: Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand local market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer requirements.
  • Refine product offerings, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approaches to maximize competitiveness and win rates.
  • Provide strategic guidance on product positioning, value proposition development, and differentiation strategies tailored to Latin American markets.
  • Business Development and Deal Origination: Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with key industry players, utilities, and commercial entities.
  • Lead negotiations and drive the signing of first deals to establish a foothold in target markets.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, 10+ years of experience in the renewable energy or energy storage industries, with a focus on business development, policy advocacy, or commercial strategy, or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and securing strategic deals in Latin America.
  • Deep understanding of local market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and policy landscapes across key markets in Latin America.
  • Strong network of relationships with government officials, industry stakeholders, and decision-makers in the energy sector.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required; proficiency in Portuguese is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
