Job Purpose:
Level 1: Analyze and Optimize existing processes with improved performance in Security, Quality, Cost, Time, and Environment, and train productivity players.
Level 2: Integrate and start new processes within the plant in compliance with technical and economic objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Level 1
- Train relevant personnel in processes and ensure the deployment and capitalization of technical skills at the site:
- Train and support relevant personnel in work methodologies, operating processes, and tools.
- Make necessary decisions to optimize results, in line with initial data. - Ensure the productivity of existing processes/products:
- Manage the technical database.
- Define and write the procedures for new means and processes.
- Define the production line layouts and create and validate the time sequences.
- Help to develop the process during the project phase, 'in production', and optimize it.
- Provide technical input for processes and workstations to make technical improvements.
- Schedule and maintain or organize the maintenance of tooling, assembly machines, and the product.
- Make production equipment reliable to improve quality and safety of existing means.
- Propose innovative technical solutions concerning manufacturing processes to reach productivity, quality improvement, and safety objectives while reducing running time.
- Cost, carry out, and validate 'in production' modifications for the plant processes.
- Negotiate with any external service providers.
- Validate the implementation in the field of inspection means.
- Define and validate the Work In Process (Forklifts, suspended or other, etc.).
- Define and validate the substitution packaging and optimize existing packaging.
- Ensure compliance with workstation ergonomics rules.
- Troubleshoot to solve quality problems.
- Technically solve problems to eliminate 'quality obstacles'.
- Use time analysis and SMED to optimize processes.
- Apply the production standards.
Level 2
- Coordinate the integration of new products/processes on the site:
- Help to define the necessary plant means and coordinate their implementation to acquire the necessary skills locally.
- Attend project meetings and assist with the FMECA process with the project group.
- Lead a Process and/or means FMECA working group.
- Support/participate in the definition of CS process during the PFMEA.
- Participate in and validate the writing of the specifications for the specific means on the site.
- Produce the specification capacity means.
- Launch calls for tender and consultations for capacity and plant means.
- Monitor suppliers.
- Receive and validate the acceptance and development of new resources.
- Initialize the creation of CAM technical data (Parts, Parts lists, Instruction sheets).
- Create process adjustment sheets (parameters) and associated documents.
- Carry out the programming required to operate specific equipment.
- Conduct CCV/VSM for new projects.
- Conduct flow and layout studies.
- Conduct station and time studies (time usage rules) and draw up documentation in compliance with quality requirements.
- Compile the manufacturing file: procedure, operation sequence diagram, man-machine activity chart, instruction sheets, lists, manufacturing charts.
- Start the production of new products and run rate.
- Detect incidents and implement adapted action plans to solve problems.
Essential Job Functions:
- Strong work experience in machine qualification including calibration, correlation, capability, repeatability, and reproducibility.
