The Opportunity: Content Strategist
We are looking for a proactive and strategic Content Strategist to drive the planning, development, and optimization of high-performing content that supports demand generation, customer engagement, and brand positioning across the full customer journey.
Reporting to the Content Strategy Manager, you will play a central role in shaping and executing content initiatives that map to business goals and audience needs.
This role blends editorial planning, performance optimization, audience research, and lifecycle management.
It is ideal for a content professional with a strong editorial foundation, analytical thinking, and the ability to align content outputs with evolving strategic priorities across marketing and sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Planning & Strategy
- Own and maintain content calendars that align with product launches, campaign priorities, seasonal planning, and evergreen initiatives.
- Lead content ideation and planning sessions with demand gen, brand, SEO, and campaign leads to shape strategic content workflows.
- Audience & Marketing Research
- Conduct extensive research to understand audience pain points, buyer journeys, personas, and content preferences, using both qualitative and quantitative sources.
- Analyze competitor content strategies and keyword positioning to surface whitespace and differentiation opportunities.
\ - SEO Strategy & Performance Optimization
- Implement on-page SEO best practices including keyword mapping, metadata writing, internal linking, and content hierarchy recommendations.
- Collaborate with SEO leads and analytics to monitor content performance and identify refresh, update, or consolidation needs.
- Recommend content clusters or pillar-page structures that enhance site architecture and topical authority.
- Content Lifecycle Management
- Drive end-to-end content workflows from intake and briefing through creation, approvals, publishing, and performance tracking.
- Create, maintain and enforce standards around taxonomy, tagging, version control, and documentation within the CMS and DAM systems.
- Conduct quarterly audits to evaluate content performance and lifecycle stages, recommending next steps (refresh, retire, repurpose).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Sales Enablement, and Regional Teams to ensure alignment between messaging, format, and funnel stage.
- Contribute to messaging frameworks, tone and voice guidelines, and content QA processes.
- Analytics & Strategic Insights
- Use tools like GA4, Looker Studio, and SEMrush / Ahrefs to track and report on KPIs such as traffic, engagement, conversion, and SEO visibility.
- Present content insights and performance data to stakeholders, informing future planning cycles and campaign integration.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial planning, or digital marketing roles (in‑house or agency).
- Demonstrated success developing and optimizing content for demand generation, SEO visibility, and funnel progression.
- Proficiency with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, AEM, Contentful) and digital collaboration / project management tools (e.g., Asana, Workfront, Trello).
- Strong understanding of on‑page SEO, keyword research, audience segmentation, and digital content strategy best practices.
- Excellent writing, editing, and content structuring skills with high attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Comfortable working cross‑functionally, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience working in B2B, SaaS, e‑commerce, or content‑led growth environments.
- Familiarity with UX writing, accessibility standards, or localization.
- Understanding of content analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Looker Studio, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Hotjar).

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
Work assignments are diversified.

Minimal physical effort is required.
Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
