THIS IS NISSAN

We are currently looking for a Buyer 1 to join our team in Aguascalientes, México. This role plays a key part in ensuring uninterrupted supply of raw materials for Nissan’s manufacturing operations in Mexico, supporting multiple areas, clients, and regions while driving cost, quality, and delivery excellence.

A Day in the Life
  • Track, analyze, and follow up on supplier and production plant requests.
  • Guarantee raw material supply for Mexican plants while identifying opportunities to improve cost, supply stability, and risk mitigation.
  • Negotiate and establish commodity prices; manage assigned commodities and supplier relationships.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to resolve supply issues and ensure continuous production.
  • Support cost‑reduction initiatives and provide assistance to NNA counterparts with systems, payments, and supplier claims.
Who We’re Looking For
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (or equivalent technical coursework/training).
  • Fully bilingual: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, accountability, teamwork, and communication.
  • Ability to perform work onsite in Aguascalientes.
  • Availability for occasional day or overnight travel.
Desired
  • At least 1 year of experience in purchasing or 1 year in powertrain casting processes.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes involved in casting.
  • Creativity for generating new ideas and improving processes.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and awareness of environmental impact in design and sourcing decisions.
