Data Engineer / Support Engineer
Location: Monterrey, Nuevo León (Hybrid)
Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 MXN/month
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer / Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, and PySpark . This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting Fabric-based data pipelines and platform operations in a production environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L2/L3 support for Microsoft Fabric-based solutions, ensuring high availability and reliability of data pipelines.
Monitor daily data loads, identify failures, and conduct root cause analysis.
Troubleshoot issues in Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines, and Notebooks (PySpark).
Manage incident, service request, and change tickets (e.g., using ServiceNow ).
Collaborate with engineering teams for incident resolution, RCA documentation, and long-term fixes.
Participate in daily platform health checks, access provisioning, job reruns, and alert handling.
Maintain platform configurations and support enhancements, patches, and updates in line with change management procedures.
Microsoft Fabric support experience (Lakehouse, Pipelines, Notebooks).
Proficient in SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
Experience with Azure Data Factory pipeline monitoring and issue resolution.
Basic to intermediate PySpark skills for log analysis and notebook debugging.
Familiarity with Azure Monitor , Log Analytics , or similar tools.
Solid understanding of incident and problem management (ITIL Foundation preferred).
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Experience supporting Power BI within the Fabric ecosystem.
Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
Knowledge of Azure DevOps , Git , and CI/CD pipelines.
Awareness of data privacy, compliance , and access governance principles.
