We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) Senior Developer to lead the technical implementation and optimization of our cross-channel reporting and measurement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands‑on experience with CJA, a minimum of 2 years of experience with both Adobe Analytics and Adobe Real‑Time Customer Data Platform (RTCDP), and over 7 years of overall experience in reporting, data, and digital marketing.
This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in data architecture, a deep understanding of customer behavior, and strong communication skills.
You will be responsible for building the foundational data structures and dashboards in CJA, enabling our business and marketing teams to gain a holistic view of the customer journey and make data‑driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and technical setup of Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, including configuring connections, data views, and access control.
- Collaborate with data engineers and business teams to ensure data from various sources (web, mobile, CRM, POS, etc.) is correctly ingested into Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) for CJA.
- Utilize your expertise in Adobe Analytics to ensure the migration and integration of web and app data into AEP for CJA consumption.
- Leverage your knowledge of Adobe RTCDP to incorporate profile and audience data into CJA for enriched reporting and segmentation.
- Design and manage the Experience Data Model (XDM) schemas and datasets that power CJA's reporting capabilities.
- Build and maintain complex Data Views in CJA, defining dimensions, metrics, and data relationships to support diverse business questions.
- Develop and configure advanced reports and visualizations in Analysis Workspace to demonstrate customer journeys, identify friction points, and measure the impact of marketing initiatives.
- Act as a subject matter expert for CJA, providing technical guidance, training, and support to data analysts, marketers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance within CJA, enforcing data usage policies and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data discrepancies and technical issues related to CJA connections, data views, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for CJA implementation.
- Utilize CJA's powerful features, such as inter-dimensional flow, fallout, and pathing, to uncover actionable insights from customer journey data.
- Work with teams to activate CJA‑identified audiences and insights back into RTCDP or other downstream systems for targeted campaigns and personalization.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of total experience in a reporting, measurement, or data‑focused role within digital marketing.
- 3+ years of direct, hands‑on experience with Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA).
- 2+ years of practical experience with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Real‑Time Customer Data Platform.
- In‑depth knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including XDM schemas, datasets, and identity resolution.
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting using Adobe Analysis Workspace.
- Strong understanding of SQL and data manipulation concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with other Adobe Experience Cloud solutions such as Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) or Adobe Target.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
- Experience with data integration tools and APIs for large‑scale data ingestion.
