Job description

We are looking for a demand planner to join our team in Milan! The person will be supporting activities for our APAC and America regions.

With a strong statistical and analytical background to support accurate demand forecasting and planning activities, the role focus focuses on developing, maintaining, and improving forecasting models, using DP tools and external input. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal supply chain performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, and continuously improve statistical demand forecasts at SKU, life cycle, country and channel level
  • Apply quantitative forecasting methods (SO99 tools)
  • Integrate business inputs and new launches with statistical forecasts to produce a consensus demand plan
  • Support new product launches with baseline forecasts and scenario analysis
  • Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and BU teams during S&OP process
  • Analyze historical sales data, trends, seasonality to improve forecast accuracy
  • Prepare dashboards, reports and presentations for management review
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience in Demand Planning or Forecasting
  • Statistics, Engineering or Economics degree
  • Fluent in English
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts, and sales/inventory analysis
  • Strong analytical mindset, focus and determination in driving a timely and accurate execution of analysis
  • Negotiation skills, ability to work as a liaison between local sales and the commercial operations teams, to develop a collaborative and cross-functional approach to demand planning
  • IT skills: Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office and demand planning software (SO99+ is preferred)
