Job Summary:

Assist in managing the overall operation of the Food and Nutrition services department in an Acute Care Hospital or Medical Center. Help operate the department within the approved budget, providing maximum value for the client.

Ensure the food quality offered to patients, staff, and employees is superior. Oversee safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs; maintain excellent relationships with patients, the client, and hospital departments. Promote team development and foster strong inter-departmental relations, aligning the food service with the facility's operational plan.

• A.A. Degree or related experience preferred
• Certified Dietary Manager or Registered Dietitian preferred
• Knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, sanitation, food costs, and presentation
• Experience with P&L accountability or contract-managed services desirable
• Leadership, management, and coaching skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Financial, budgeting, and accounting skills
• Proficiency in computer programs, Microsoft Office, email, and internet
• ServSafe Certification
