About Smartness

We are Smartness, and we support small and medium-sized accommodation providers with solutions to help them fight back against the huge hotel chains. We started in 2020 by providing these companies with a dynamic pricing manager that can update room prices 100 times per day and increase revenue by 30%. What Will You Do?

  • Operate in a player-coach role, splitting time equally between leading and managing the sales team and actively driving and closing new business. Responsible for coaching team members, supporting overall performance, and achieving personal sales targets, while reporting directly to the Head of Sales DACH.
  • Drive new business development and oversee the team's collective sales targets, focusing on acquiring new clients and expanding partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to introduce and sell an expanding range of products and premium services, including consulting offerings that can significantly increase revenue per client.
  • Monitor and adjust sales forecasts and targets, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives and adapting to market dynamics, while mentoring team members to improve productivity and sales cycle management.


What Are We Looking For?

  • Proven experience in managing sales teams within B2B SaaS or related startup environments in the DACH market, demonstrating strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Deep understanding of the sales cycle, particularly in high-volume, transactional sales rather than complex enterprise deals.
  • Ability to balance direct sales responsibilities with effective team management, including recruitment, coaching, and performance monitoring.
  • Overachiever - you consistently exceed individual and team sales targets — high performance comes naturally to you.
  • Strong analytical and business management skills, capable of handling live case studies and making data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and partnership-building abilities, with a focus on driving revenue through strategic collaborations rather than cold calling alone.
  • Resilience and humility, with a willingness to learn from past experiences and coach team members to improve their sales performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a sales team, balancing individual contribution with team targets, ideally with experience handling a quota-carrying role.
  • Strong analytical and business management skills, capable of handling live case studies and making data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and partnership-building skills, with a focus on developing strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to work from Barcelona and a willingness to engage with the team in an office environment.
  • A collaborative mindset, open to coaching and developing team members, with a practical and hands-on approach to sales leadership.


Language Proficiency:

German: C2 level or native

English: B2 level
