A leading mineral solutions company in Italy is seeking a General Accountant. You will manage daily coordination of financial services, supervision of accounting tasks, and collaborate with auditors. Ideal candidates have at least 2-3 years of experience and must be fluent in Italian and English. Experience with SAP 4Hana is mandatory. This role offers a full-time permanent position with opportunities for smart working.

Job Summary
SUMMARY/SCOPE OF WORK
The world leader in mineral-based specialty solutions for industry, Imerys delivers high value-added, functional solutions to diversified sets of industrial sectors, from processing industries to consumer goods, based in Paris. Imerys has operations in over 40 countries and over 16,000 employees. In particular, it is present in Italy with 7 production sites and trading activities.
In order to support the financial function, Imerys is looking for a GL Accountant.
The ideal candidate is a smart person, willing to take over responsibilities in the context of a multinational company, able to cooperate and communicate with different peers and stakeholders (accounting, treasury, IT, customer service, procurement and operations).
Main Responsibilities
Daily coordination of the Financial Service Center (in Greece) and supervision of general accounting and related reconciliations/balances;
Quarterly collaboration with external auditors to collect data, reconciliation and analysis;
Supervision of intercompany transactions;
Support to all italian Imerys entities in archiving and administrative activities;
Supervision of the completeness and correct sending of electronic invoice;
VAT, Conai, Istat and Intrastat submission;
Participation in IT projects for the implementation and customization of SAP 4Hana .
WORKPLACE
Place of work: Porte (Turin) or Massa Carrara
Possibility of some days of Smart Working to be agreed

- Accounting diploma or degree in economics;
- Experience in the role of at least 2/3 years gained in modernly structured companies;
- Fluent in Italian and English, written and spoken, French might be a plus.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Sheet packages.
- Knowledge of SAP 4Hana is mandatory, JDE is a plus.
