Job summary
A leading engineering company in Milan is seeking a Junior Engineer to ensure the quality of deliverables and assist in project estimations. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and is proactive, a team player, and fluent in English. The role involves maintaining databases, assisting project leaders, and may require travel in Italy and abroad.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in technical discipline or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to work in uncertain market conditions.
- Willingness to travel for work assignments.
Responsibilities
- Guarantee the quality of generated deliverables.
- Maintain historical database for quantities of instrumentation.
- Assist Project Leaders in offers and executive projects.
- Estimate materials and works in bidding stage.
Skills
Education
He / She is in charge of producing documents anddeliverables assigned to him / her by the Group Leader relevant to Material &Work Quantities Estimating & Management activities, guaranteeing thequality, the assigned budget and time. The Junior Engineer reports to GroupLeader, or a Specialist, or an Engineer for the quality of the deliverables.
He / she is appointed to tasks with differenttechnical complexity and requiring different levels of skill; he / she will besupported by Group Leader for the improvement of his / her skills.
- Guarantee the quality of the generated deliverables and their compliance with the contractual and company standards, procedures and work instructions
- Maintain the historical database for the quantities of Instrumentation;
- Prepare and maintain the Work Requisition documentations according to the agreement with Construction / subcontracting department.
- Assist the Project Leaders for offers and executive Projects;
- Verify with the support of Group Leader / Specialist the quantities and comparison of instrumentation materials and activities at site;
- Estimate materials and works in bidding stage, on the basis Group Leader’s guidelines;
- Issue the accounting of materials and works, checking the correct application of method of measurements and Sub-contractor’s charges;
- Issue the current estimates of materials and works during the engineering stage, on the basis of the data and information conveyed by the Project Leader.
- Conduct technical training as per department needs and exchange experience with colleagues of the entire Tecnimont Group for new Design techniques;
- Keep up-to-date about the technical specific improvement of the discipline;
- Bachelor degree in technical discipline or degree in high school in technical discipline;
- attitude to work in team, proactiveness and strong willing to learn;
- ability to work in uncertainties market;
- attitude to problem solving;
- fluent English speaker and writer;
- availability to travel for short and long period in Italy and abroad.
