A high fashion brand in Italy is seeking a Freelance Fabric Manager/Sourcer to join their creative team. Responsibilities include sourcing fabrics aligned with seasonal collections, maintaining a fabric library, and coordinating with suppliers. Candidates should have at least 4 years experience in fashion, strong knowledge of textiles, and the ability to work independently. • Work closely with the Creative Director to understand material direction.

Womenswear RTW Freelance Fabric Manager / Fabric Sourcer

Magda Butrym is looking for a Freelance Fabric Manager/Sourcer to support our creative team in sourcing and selecting fabrics that align with our seasonal mood-boards and collection needs.

Key Responsibilitiesn

• Working closely with the Creative Director and design studio to understand the seasonal mood and material direction.
• Sourcing fabrics that match our creative vision, aesthetic, and technical requirements.
• Coordination with fabric suppliers to request samples, prices, and lead times.
• Building and maintaining a small, curated fabric library for each season.
• Ensuring the timely delivery of fabric samples for the design and product development teams.
• Briefing production team on seasonal fabrics and supporting the department in communication with suppliers.

Profile

• Strong knowledge of textiles and fabric sourcing.
• Organized, proactive, and good at communication.
• Able to work independently as a freelancer.
• No less than 4 years of experience working for leading fashion brands.
• Understanding of Magda Butrym brand aesthetic.
• Ability to work under time pressure.
• Working proficiency in English.
