A leading logistics provider in Trento seeks a Trans Ops Specialist to manage inbound and outbound operations. Responsibilities include communication with customers, data analysis, and developing performance metrics. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and be proficient in Excel and SQL. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this role.
TOC (Transportation Operation Center) is the central command and control center for Transportation Execution across the Amazon Supply Chain network, supporting multiple geographies like NA, India and EU. It ensures on-time pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon fulfillment centers (FC) and from FCs to carrier hubs. In case of exceptions, TOC resolves issues and keeps stakeholders informed. TOC also analyzes network data to identify trends and proposes or automates process improvements to streamline operations, contributing to the smooth functioning of Amazon transportation and timely customer service.
A Trans Ops Specialist at TOC facilitates information flow between stakeholders (Carriers/Hubs/Warehouses) and resolves issues that impact customer experience and business continuity. The role spans two verticals – Inbound and Outbound operations.
Inbound Operations: ensures freight is picked up on time and delivered to the FC per the appointment; addresses issues during the lifecycle from pickup to delivery.
Outbound Operations: ensures trucks leave the FC to deliver customer orders as promised; addresses issues during the lifecycle from FC departure to customer delivery.
A Trans Ops Specialist provides timely resolution by researching internal tools and making real-time decisions. The candidate should understand requirements, analyze data to notice trends, and drive Customer Experience without compromising on time. A basic understanding of Logistics and clear written and spoken communication are required. The specialist should ideate process improvements and drive them to conclusion.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
- Experience with Excel
- Experience in SQL
