About Britoil Offshore Services SRL

Britoil Offshore Services SRL ("BOS") is located in Genoa and is part of Britoil’s Group. BOS excels in the provision of diverse services and solutions for key offshore-support needs, including platform supply, anchor handling tug supply, walk to work and subsea support. In addition, BOS offers a wide range of complementary offshore services, such as seismic / survey support, maintenance, engineering and scientific support.

BOS endeavors to provide customers with excellent technical performance of vessels, as well as a close relationship from a commercial and operational perspective.

BOS manages a fleet of 25 Offshore Supply Vessels operating in the Mediterranean Sea, North & West Africa and North Sea.

What will you do?

In this function, you will be part of the technical management team, learning by experience both onboard and in the office, supporting the technical superintendents assigned to of a certain number of vessels, and you are expected to grow up and enhance your competences in following duties:

  • supporting the vessels by composing and maintaining procedures and instructions so that the activities on board that will be planned and carried out in a safe and effective manner;
  • visiting the vessels on a regular basis and performing internal technical audits under the supervision of Senior Superintendents;
  • monitoring performance of preventative and corrective maintenance to the vessels in a cost effective manner;
  • supporting the team in executing repairs and dry dockings in accordance with the maintenance plan and the vessels’ policy;
  • cooperating with purchasing department, ensuring goods and services are sourced with the lowest cost of ownership and in adherence with set quality standards and budget settings;
  • monitoring adequate follow up of port state control and vetting inspections;
  • monitoring that vessels’ documentation in the office as well as computer databases are properly maintained and up to date.
  • supporting the Britoil Sustainable and Performance technical team on multiple engineering maritime projects.

You work in a team with Senior Superintendents, Crewing Officers and Purchasers, and report to the Regional Technical Manager.

Who are we looking for?
To excel in this function you have:
  • A Higher Nautical or Technical Maritime Education diploma;
  • Graduation in Marine Engineering and Naval architecture is a plus;
  • Strong planning and problem‑solving skills;
  • Willingness to travel frequently and ability to work well under pressure;
  • Knowledge of the Italian flag and flag administration system would be an advantage;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English and Italian are essential.
