A global specialty materials company is seeking a Technical Sales Manager based in Milan, Italy. This role requires extensive experience in the construction industry and is focused on business development and managing key accounts. Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering and proficiency in technical sales. The position emphasizes strong communication and analytical skills with expected travel of 60%-70%. The company offers a dynamic work environment and the chance to influence industry practices.
The position reports to the Sales Manager Italy C&C with a dotted line to Regional Sales Director. This role requires an experienced technical sales manager with deep knowledge and understanding of the construction industry, regulatory requirements and market. The person is responsible for business development, technical advice, promotion of building solutions influencing engineers, architects and building professionals, and directly managing key accounts and providing technical advice, distributor relationships including developing and executing sales plans, realizing profitable growth, account long-term retention and ongoing satisfaction of customers with a strong emphasis on business development. Expected travel 60%-70%.
Experience and Profile
• 3+ years of experience in technical sales role in construction industry
• Deep understanding of construction industry
• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Languages (spoken and written) – native Italian, fluent in English, German nice to have
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and a good understanding of SAP

• Actively learns and improves understanding of other C&C products and solutions.
