The Technical Systems Administrator is responsible for delivering the System Architecture Plan and managing related resources and activities to ensure that InterSystems software is deployed according to project requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, review, and install all InterSystems products, including TrakCare patches, releases, and builds on customer platforms, adhering to quality assurance protocols and Service Level Agreements.
- Administer and maintain hosted solutions and infrastructure, collaborating with other teams or partners as needed.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and performance analysis during implementations.
- Support and test internal and external utilities such as patching tools and print services.
- Assist Presales teams with technical requests related to architecture, configuration, and hardware sizing.
- Create technical documentation, including installation instructions, user guides, and knowledge articles.
- Participate in onsite technical training and implementation activities as required.
- Manage scripting, backups, and automate routine deployment activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes to deliver exceptional service quality.
Qualifications :
- Server Administration : Experience with configuring, implementing, and administering Linux or UNIX systems (preferably SUSE / RedHat).
- Programming and scripting : Strong scripting skills with the ability to work directly with system source code to enhance performance.
- Information security : Knowledge of best practices for maintaining and improving security.
- Problem-solving : Creative and analytical skills with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience managing mission-critical infrastructures and applications.
Additional requirements include availability outside normal hours, experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Cacti), understanding of network deployment, and knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet. ITIL knowledge is also preferred.
