A leading automotive technology company in Italy seeks a System Architect for crafting system architectures for ECUs. Responsibilities include supporting projects from a technical perspective and consulting on strategic decisions. Candidates should have expertise in infotainment technologies, embedded software, hardware development, and automotive systems. Proficiency in English is required, with optional German language knowledge. Strong analytical and leadership skills are necessary for this role.

Overview

The System Architect is responsible for creating the system architecture for ECUs in the automotive domain. He is responsible for doing this according to the Company software standards. Furthermore he is the technical expert for the PMs, KAMs and the PDAS department for RFQs. All created work products must be reviewed.

Responsibilities

• Create system architectures in accordance with the system requirements.
• Support RFQ team with his expertise to technically evaluate new projects from system point of view.
• Support PM and PL with his expertise to evaluate the feasibility and effort of incoming change requests.
• Consult the PDAS department in taking strategic decisions (new platforms).
• Stay up to date in the infotainment domain, especially for all new technologies related to audio amplifiers.
• The system architecture has to follow the Company guideline and the product development process, has to use the defined development tools and has to be designed for testability.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the infotainment HW and SW technologies.
• Experiences in embedded software development.
• Experiences in hardware development.
• Knowledge about the used tool chain (Revision Control System, SW Quality Tools).
• Experiences in audio signal processing.
• Knowledge of automotive specific embedded software (Flash Update, Diagnostics).
• Knowledge about electronics and measurement technology.
• Knowledge of automotive bus systems (CAN, A2B, MOST, Ethernet).
• Knowledge of modelling languages (e.g. UML).
• Ability to manage several issues in parallel and to keep overview under stressful periods.
• Ability to lead internal and external meetings, to do presentations.
• Knowledge of the English language.
• Possibly but not necessarily, knowledge of the German language.
• Analytic thinking and to communicate internal and external professionally.
• Ability to perform training.
