A leading IT services company is seeking a mid-senior level System professional to support and operate application infrastructure for Juniper network products. The role involves maintaining service stability and performance during operations, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and diagnosing network incidents. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years in enterprise networking, strong communication skills, and familiarity with open-source tools. This position is based in Milan and requires onsite presence.

Support and operate application infrastructure for monitoring, management and operation of Juniper network products. Familiarity with VMWare, Linux OS and open‑source tools for network observability and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence: Maintain service stability, performance and security during event‑time operations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with managers, engineering, providers and event leadership.
• Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex network incidents.
• Documentation & Handover: Maintain network diagrams, implementation guides and runbooks.
• Continuous Improvement: Optimize designs and processes based on past large‑scale event experience.

Location

• L2 – onsite in Milan, client offices – day shift
• L3 – onsite in Milan, client’s Technical Operations Centre – part of 24‑x‑7 shift team

Rota (CEST)

• Day: 06:00 – 15:00
• Evening: 14:00 – 23:00
• Night: 22:00 – 07:00

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in enterprise networking consulting or solution delivery, ideally for large‑scale or high‑availability environments (e.g., sports events, broadcast, or public venues).
• Experience working with servers, virtualization, Linux OS and open‑source tools.
• Strong knowledge of network monitoring, incident management and operational support processes.
• Ability to lead and coordinate multi‑vendor and cross‑functional teams in time‑critical projects.
• Excellent communication skills to interface effectively with technical teams and senior event stakeholders.
• Familiarity with enterprise network services like DNS, DHCP, NTP and Grafana.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting international events (sports, entertainment or similar).
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Red Hat, Juniper, VMWare).
• Understanding of bash scripting, Ansible and APIs.

Technical Competencies

• Good understanding of enterprise networking and Wi‑Fi networks.
• Ability to create and interpret network diagrams, documentation and operational playbooks.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and management services.
