Responsibilities

• Serve as a key technical member of the Business Development team, helping ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform.
• Scope each customer engagement with clear objectives and success criteria.
• Own each technical engagement and help ensure timely and successful delivery of value (delivery of actual solutions to be done by AWS partners).
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the solution architect community.
• Understand AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.
• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and how to construct applications and services on the AWS platform.

A day in the life

As a Solutions Architect within AWS, you will help shape and deliver a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS services within strategic accounts. Your responsibilities include owning the technical engagement and delivering value through implementation projects, while developing both technical depth and broad know-how on how applications and services are built on AWS.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).

- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.

- 6+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in software or Internet industries.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in software development or Internet-related industries.

- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.

- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
