At Bending Spoons, we’re striving to build one of the all‑time great companies that serves a huge number of customers, helps team members grow to their full potential, operates at unparalleled levels of effectiveness and efficiency, and creates value for shareholders at an extraordinary rate—all while adhering to high ethical standards.

We acquire digital businesses with untapped potential and scale them using our platform, which combines expertise, technologies, data, brand, talent, and culture. We then reinvest the proceeds to make the platform even more powerful and acquire new businesses.

A few examples of your responsibilities
  • Drive strategy. Develop and execute bold, data‑informed strategies that unlock new levels of value for the company.
  • Lead an outstanding team. Lead a high‑performing team of talented professionals and make tough decisions to uphold excellence when necessary.
  • Operate at the sharp end of the industry. Our products reach hundreds of millions of users; you and your team must aim for greatness.
  • Master your toolkit. Work across diverse tech stacks—monoliths, microservices, gRPC, REST, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, Rust—and choose the right tools to unleash their full potential.
  • Simplify relentlessly. Turn complexity into simplicity by optimizing CI/CD pipelines, writing maintainable code, and crafting minimalist architectures.
What we look for
  • Leadership. Years of outstanding work experience in highly challenging roles and environments, with exceptional performance and outlier growth.
  • Drive. Extreme ambition, initiative, effort, and tenacity that match the intensity of your ambition; a deep sense of responsibility for your work.
  • Reasoning ability. Ability to solve complex problems from first principles, structure ideas sharply, resist biases, and focus on critical details.
  • Team spirit. Willingness to give generously without expectation of return, support the best idea, and help the team through hands‑on work.
  • Proficiency in English. Read, write, and speak proficiently in English.
What we offer
  • An exceptional opportunity for growth. We prioritize individuals of outstanding potential, placing them in roles that enable them to thrive. Spooners in their 20s lead products worth hundreds of millions of dollars and soon take on essential roles in major projects.
  • Incredibly talented, entrepreneurial teams. Work in small, result‑oriented, autonomous teams alongside the brightest people in your field.
  • All the benefits. Flexible hours, remote working, unlimited backing for learning and training, top‑of‑the‑market health insurance, a rich relocation package, generous parental support, and a yearly retreat to a stunning location.
  • Competitive pay and equity. Annual salary ranges between £151,436 and £250,512 in London, and €145,430 and €240,330 elsewhere in Europe. Compensation grows rapidly with experience and impact, and may exceed the typical range for exceptional candidates. Permanent contracts include equity at a discounted price; relocation to Italy may offer a 50% tax cut.
Commitment & contract

Permanent or fixed‑term. Full‑time.

Location

Milan (Italy), London (UK), Madrid (Spain), Warsaw (Poland) or remote in selected countries.

The selection process

If you pass our screening, you’ll complete a series of tests designed to assess how you approach unfamiliar problems. Successful candidates will then be invited to multiple interviews. We set the bar high and only extend an offer after we’re convinced we’ve found the right candidate.

We encourage women and all underrepresented groups to apply—talent takes precedence over a perfect fit. If you’ve applied before, wait at least one year before re‑applying.

Equal Opportunity Statement

Bending Spoons is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We consider all applicants and provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities—just let us know through our form.
