Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a Site Manager. The Site Manager is responsible for ensuring that the site operates to the highest Environmental Health & Safety standards, while ensuring that products meet the required quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget. The Site Manager is accountable for developing and implementing strategies to continuously improve performance across all these areas.

Key functions reporting into this role include Environment, Health & Safety, Production, Production Planning, Purchasing, Warehousing, and Logistics.

The purpose of this position is to lead the team responsible for the production of chemical batches of chemical products for electroplating applications in the fashion and precious goods industry.

This position is located in Agliana (PT), Italy.

What will you be doing?

Site & Operations Leadership

• Responsible for the overall management of site operations, including production, maintenance, logistics, and utilities, ensuring production targets are achieved in terms of volume, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Drive process optimization to improve efficiency, yield, and cost performance.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with applicable HSE regulations and chemical industry requirements, promoting a strong safety culture and managing risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain management systems in line with ISO and IATF certifications and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits in collaboration with the Quality function.

People & Performance Management

• Lead, develop, and motivate the Operations Management Team to achieve targets in quality, HSE, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, training, and competency development while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Manage the annual operations budget and quarterly forecasts, monitor KPIs, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop business cases for capital investments and deliver projects on time and within budget, supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, process optimization, and waste reduction.

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration

• Act as the primary interface between the site, headquarters, and regional functions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Technical Service, and Supply Chain teams to support customer needs, and manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and external partners to optimize site and regional operations.

Who are You?

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a site management or production management role within the chemical industry demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, preferably related to electroplating or surface treatment.
• Solid understanding of HSE and regulatory requirements in a chemical production environment.
• Experience managing teams and complex operations.
• Proven application of Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies.

You will be employed with the National Contract of Chemists (CCNL Chimico) with the possibility to subscribe to the related Health and Pension funds (FASCHIM and FONCHIM).

You will receive a company laptop computer, and you will be given a meal voucher of 9 €/worked day.

Working time: 37.45 hours/week.
