A global automotive supplier in Italy is looking for a Site Accounting Support professional. In this role, you will manage financial operations including monthly closing, account payables, and financial archive responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Economics and at least 3 years of relevant experience in a multinational environment, along with fluency in English and knowledge of SAP ERP. This position offers a permanent contract with full-time hours.

As a Site Accounting Support at Valeo Pianezza, you will have the opportunity to work with leading carmakers in electronics development within an international and multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger:
  • Monthly closing, with a focus on reviewing MAES (Monthly Accounting Entry sheet); communicate on time and document all month-end booking entries (accrual / cut off) to the Shared Service Center (SSC).
  • Follow and document provisions for risks and liabilities linked to the site; ensure accruals are exhaustive as checked by the Business Unit.
  • Manage fixed assets follow-up: assets in progress, start of depreciation with support documentation from site, physical inventory, write-off requests, depreciation accrual for late activation.
• Business Unit Closing Binder:
  • Prepare the BU Closing binder with information from SSC & Site (standard support documents, accruals for employee pension fund, etc.) and obtain validation by the Site Financial Controller.
  • Attend monthly Closing binder review with SSC & Site.
  • Contribute to the action plan defined during the review.
• Account Payables/Accounts Receivables:
  • Manage issues and communicate progress on supplier/customer litigations to SSC.
  • Resolve pending booking entries (unmatched manual or EDI invoices with P.O/Delivery note).
  • Alert and communicate to SSC all logistic and quality incidents.
  • Ensure customer prerequisites are fulfilled for invoicing prototypes, tooling, R&D, intercompany.
  • Interface with SSC for travel expenses of the site.
• Treasury:
  • Interface with Country Cash Manager to obtain local approval for all pending payments.
  • Participate in weekly overdue meetings and follow up action plans with site support.
  • Forecast the 3-month Payables timeline.
• Archiving:
  • Responsible for local financial archive with SSC support.
  • Archive invoices/supporting documentation linked to the site if not centralized in SSC.
• Compliance:
  • Contribute to Group Ethics & Compliance program by applying and respecting the Code of Ethics and Valeo's policies.

Qualifications

• Degree (Master or Bachelor), Economics preferred.
• Experience: at least 3 years in similar roles (Accounting, General Ledger) within multinational & industrial organizations.
• Fluent English
• SAP ERP, good knowledge.
