Job Overview

As the Senior Sourcing Manager for Amfas International in Europe , you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and managing suppliers of CNC machined, injection molded, die cast, sheet metal, and extruded parts. Your primary focus will be sourcing high-quality manufacturing partners in cost-competitive European regions, ensuring suppliers meet both commercial and Amfas’ rigorous quality standards. Leveraging your regional expertise, you will drive supplier development, conduct quality audits, and support RFQ through production handoff to ensure reliable performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Supplier Identification & Development
  • Research and identify qualified suppliers in Europe, with emphasis on Italy, Poland, and other cost-effective manufacturing hubs (Eastern Europe).
  • Assess supplier capabilities, certifications, capacity, and alignment with Amfas’ technical and quality requirements.
  • Conduct supplier audits to validate process control, quality systems, and readiness for production.
Quality & Compliance
  • Serve as the technical and quality gatekeeper for new suppliers.
  • Ensure suppliers meet Amfas’ standards for dimensional accuracy, material certifications, and process repeatability.
  • Partner with the Quality team to define inspection requirements and monitor supplier performance through regular audits.
  • Support corrective actions when supplier nonconformances occur.
RFQ & Quotation Management
  • Manage RFQ processes, ensuring timely and accurate quotations from suppliers.
  • Provide detailed cost and capability feedback to Amfas Engineering and Operations.
  • Verify that supplier proposals align with both commercial and technical requirements.
Supplier Relationship Management
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with manufacturers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules while upholding Amfas’ quality and compliance expectations.
  • Provide suppliers with ongoing feedback on quality, delivery, and service performance.
Project & Production Support
  • Facilitate the transition from sourcing to production, ensuring suppliers achieve PPAP / first article approval.
  • Monitor supplier production to maintain consistent part quality and on-time delivery.
  • Escalate risks and implement mitigation plans where supplier quality or delivery performance is at risk.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Sales teams to ensure supplier capabilities align with customer technical requirements.
  • Support technical drawing reviews, revision control, and material / part documentation as required by customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, supplier development, or supply chain management, preferably in contract manufacturing.
  • Strong background in quality systems, supplier audits, and part inspection requirements.
  • Established network within CNC machining, injection molding, die casting, sheet metal, or extrusion manufacturing in Europe.
  • Demonstrated success in RFQ management, supplier negotiations, and onboarding manufacturers to high-quality production.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Italian, Polish, or other European languages is a plus.
  • Must reside in Europe to be able to maintain relationships with suppliers
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Europe for supplier audits and visits.
