Position

SICIM has a position opening as Senior Electrical Engineer to support our Engineering Activities on EPC projects worldwide based in Milan.

The responsibilities of this role also include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Responsible for the electrical engineering design work on assigned projects
• Provide leadership for the other electrical engineers in our Power team
• Working with Project Engineers and Project Managers on developing workload forecasts, design schedules, and budgets for electrical engineering work activities
• Functioning as the “Engineer of Record” on projects
• Performing Power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protective coordination, arc flash analysis)
• Providing technical support for business development activities such as developing proposals
• One-line and three-line diagrams
• Conducting arc-flash hazard calculations to determine arc-flash boundaries and required PPE
• Protective relay and metering one-line / three-line diagrams
• Panel Layouts
• Equipment layouts and sectional views
• Connection Diagrams
• Bill of Materials
• Cable Schedules
• Developing construction and equipment specifications
• Supporting projects during construction, start-up, and commissioning
• Grounding Analysis and Design
• Reviewing engineering work performed by peers
• Client and site field visits

Level-specific responsibilities:

• Serves as lead engineer / engineer of record on mid-to-large size projects and programs
• Provide senior management with project updates/team development issues as needed
• Supervisory responsibilities for engineering staff
• Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
• Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
• Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
• Participates in the development of technical proposals.
• Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal skills with an ability to lead engineering tasks
• 12+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience with at least five (5) years leading electrical engineering projects.
• Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish.
• Plant Startup and Commissioning Field knowledge
• Power systems analysis software experience (SKM, EasyPower, Etap).
• Functioned as the “Engineer of Record” on at least two (2) projects
• Experience working in collaborative 3D model environments (e.g. Navisworks)
