CorFlow is a Swiss med-tech start-up focused on restoring microvascular blood flow. The position involves a diverse set of responsibilities as a clinical specialist, including training sites, proctoring during live procedures, and developing centers of excellence ahead of commercial launch.
Responsibilities
Training and Education
- Identify, in conjunction with site PIs, the required staff and train them to safely use CorFlow Technology to achieve independence to operate.
- Identify remedial actions for staff or centres to ensure safe use and protocol compliance.
- Maintain regular training for staff, adapting to centre requirements (staff turnover/new hires).
- Deliver ongoing training on cardiovascular topics, updates on scientific data, clinical trial updates, and congress activity.
- Identify and prioritise local/regional meetings where CorFlow should have a presence.
- Beyond trials, be accountable for new site/centre of excellence selection, training, and proctoring.
Proctoring and Case Support
- Present at initial clinical cases to supervise site staff in correct use of the CorFlow System in line with the CIP for MOCA II / REVITALISE studies.
- Demonstrate site readiness for independent use of the study device per the training protocol.
- Monitor centre compliance and capture deviations; supervise setup of site workflow to ensure high-quality study images and measurements.
- Provide feedback and corrective action as requested by Core Lab in conjunction with CRA/Site monitor.
- Maintain detailed proctoring records and documentation; attend and support ongoing cases for consistency and safety.
Regulatory Requirements
- Facilitate internal and external audits and inspections as requested; maintain accurate records for audit.
- Execute trial conduct within the regulatory framework.
Customer Engagement
- Maintain regular contact with Site PIs and teams beyond clinical support; build relationships with wider KOLs for commercial launch.
- Expand network of clinical advocates; identify key centres outside trial sites for early adoption.
- Engage with national societies to understand routes to market adoption; act as the voice of the customer in internal activities.
Personal Development
- Continual learning via journals and congresses; stay up to date with technology and competitor developments.
- Understand healthcare systems and impacts on CorFlow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant life science or healthcare field; master’s degree preferred.
- Experience as Clinical Field Trial Specialist, Field Technical Specialist, or similar in medical devices/pharma, or clinically trained with cardiac cath lab background.
- Proven experience in proctoring/training/education.
- Fluent in Italian and English (able to deliver training).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 60–80% within country and potentially internationally.
