This role involves defining and managing planning and control processes, monitoring costs and margins, and analyzing business performance. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree, has 7-8 years of relevant experience in luxury fashion, and is fluent in English. Strong proficiency in MS Excel is required, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. This is a full-time role at a mid-senior level.

Senior Business Controller - Milan role at Jobbit

Senior Business Controller role based in Milan, focused on finance and control within the luxury fashion sector.

Responsibilities

• Defining and managing planning and control processes and procedures
• Calculating and monitoring costs and margins, implementing actions plans to maximize efficiency and providing indications to the accounting department
• Monitoring production accounting with analysis of deviations from production price lists and standard production costs
• Preparing and managing monthly forecasts for the period based on data provided by accounting
• Updating and analyzing KPIs of business performance
• Financial and business evaluation of new investment initiatives
• Performing ad hoc analyses requested by management for sharing results and decision-making
• Providing sales and margin analysis for each business unit and at the company level
• Preparing budget, monitoring results, and identifying corrective actions in case of any deviations from the target
• Allocation of cost/revenue items through analytical accounting entries aimed at determining monthly operating results
• Development of business plans and collaboration in management deck presentation

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Economics, Management Engineering or similar
• At least 7–8 years of previous experience in the required position, preferably in companies of the Fashion and Luxury industry
• Excellent knowledge of the main IT tools, in particular MS Excel
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of the Mago (Zucchetti) programme is preferred
