A leading scientific research institute in Rome is seeking a Project Coordinator to manage the LifeCourse initiative. You will oversee project operations, coordinate interdisciplinary teams, and drive grant writing efforts. The role requires a PhD or Masters in Life Science, alongside strong project management and scientific communication skills. This is a full-time fixed-term position with competitive benefits and relocation support.
We are seeking a Project Coordinator to co-lead and manage LifeCourse, a major scientific initiative at EMBL exploring how genetic diversity interfaces with environmental exposures (GxE) across the mammalian lifespan. Using state-of-the-art multi-omics and multi-scale phenotyping, LifeCourse aims to predict how environmental factors in the modern world interact with genetic variants to shape adult traits and disease risk.
This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of an ambitious program at the intersection of genomics, systems biology and environmental health. Based at EMBL Rome you will drive the operational success of a large collaborative and interdisciplinary effort across biology, data science and public health.
You will report to EMBL Rome Head of Unit Cornelius Gross.
This is a project-limited fixed-term position for three years. Extension beyond this period is contingent upon project review and continued funding.
Salary: Grade 6-7 depending on qualifications and experience; monthly salary at 342,907 or 384,637 Euro after tax but excluding pension and health insurance contributions. Plus generous benefits.
