A specialized technology firm is seeking an RF / SDR Security Research Engineer in Rome. This hands-on R&D role focuses on RF protocols, vulnerability analysis, and prototype development using SDR technologies. The position requires expertise in RF security and SDR, programming skills in Python or C/C++, and familiarity with RF lab instrumentation. Collaborating with senior researchers in an R&D-focused environment, you'll engage in advanced RF and SDR security research, contributing significantly to innovative projects.

Competenze

  • Experience in RF security or SDR-based security research.
  • Hands-on experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR).
  • Programming experience in Python and/or C/C++.
  • Familiarity with RF lab instrumentation is preferred.
  • Solid fundamentals in Network security, Applied cryptography, and Wireless protocols.
  • Good level of English is required.
  • Ability to work in a research and development environment.

At Shakers, we’re looking for a RF / SDR Security Research Engineer to join a specialized Cyber Electromagnetic Research team working on advanced Radio Frequency (RF) and Software Defined Radio (SDR) security research.

This is a hands‑on R&D role, focused on experimenting with RF protocols, identifying vulnerabilities and building prototypes using SDR technologies. You’ll work closely with senior researchers in a lab‑driven environment.

🔧 What you’ll do
  • R&D activities related to RF and SDR security
  • Analysis of RF protocols, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors
  • Design and development of RF prototypes using Software Defined Radio
  • Implementation of SDR solutions using GnuRadio
