A leading logistics company in Trieste, Italy is seeking a Rail Planner to drive train operations planning and ensure maximum productivity while complying with safety regulations. The role involves monitoring train performance, ensuring data integrity, and working closely with operations and vessel planning. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Transportation or Logistics, with 3-5 years experience in a similar role and fluency in both Italian and English. This position requires strong communication skills and a focus on service excellence.
Rail Planner – Trieste, Italy. The successful candidate will drive the planning processes for train operations. They will prepare all discharge / loading plans / lists relative to train as per related processes to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency with due consideration to Service Level Agreement, Train Time Slots, vessel connection. They will liaise with yard planning for proper stacking of units discharged / laden, especially as well as vessel planning for taking onto consideration connecting vessels (If any). Elaborate / print timely all documentation necessary for train operations to be tendered to Shift Leader and Control Room for proper execution for daily operations. The Rail Planner will distribute his planned game plan to the Execution, in coordination with the global PLT game Plan defined by COO. They will register all events / pertinent informations / deviation with SOF and KPI set for train activities. Serve as the focal point for train planning activity internally with Execution / Control Room and externally with Multimodal Train Operator, Transportation Operator. Report daily to the Rail Network Planner and the organization on production status, train schedules, equipment utilization. Follow all safety regulations while working in the terminal area and address individuals not complying with PLT safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of rail operations, strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills and a sharp attention to detail.
